Here’s A Quick Guide On How To Get Cheap Hotels

I put this article together to offer a quick guide on how to get cheap hotels. Everyone wants to travel, especially if you’re following all the Instagram travelers that are always jet setting around the world.

If you’re anything like me, you probably watched as these Instagram sensations constantly post pictures and videos of their exploration to different luxury locations and wondered how they can possibly afford it. Good news. There are a few tricks to getting cheap hotels and even free hotels, as well as flights and more.

The first thing to know is where to book the cheapest hotels. I’ve found booking.com is the best place to go, not only because they are one of the biggest hotel booking companies in the game and have most properties listed, but because they also offer great deals, price matching, and other benefits I’ll share to help you save more.

  1. How To Get Cheap HotelsJackpot Price
If you search Booking.com, you will see something called “Jackpot Price” from time to time. This appears to indicate you have found the cheapest rate in the destination you are searching. I have put a an image here to illustrate what to look for. It’s not a discount, but it let’s you know you’ve found a low price or a last minute deal. Hotels like to be full and we like Jackpot Pricing.
  2. Genius
When you use Booking.com and complete 5 stays within a two year period, you will be able to join the “.Genius” program. To be a part of this, there must be 5 complete stays of any duration in any location that have been booked through your Booking.com account. Once you have joined, you will be shown better search results to increase your chances of finding a better hotel for you and you will also receive a 10% discount on these hotels. You will also unlocked things like free drinks, late check out and other freebies. More on .Genius.
  3. Facilities
When you’re looking to book a cheap hotel, remember to always check the facilities section to see what is included. Obviously everyone who is trying to get cheap hotels and great deals are looking for the free breakfast, because that can save you some money every day. Other good things to look for are “Free Wi-Fi”. Try going abroad and using data roaming, your bill will soon rack up to a big some of money so free Wi-Fi is a great way to save. Another one is transport/parking… If you’re driving, free parking is a big plus as some hotels can charge $10.00 a day or ever $20.00 a day for parking, especially in big cities in America. And a free shuttle if you’re not driving will save you airport taxis each way, too.
  4. Credit Cards For Travel Points
Using credit cards for travel is a great way to get cheap hotels, free hotels, flights and even cash back. For example, the Chase Sapphire Preferred Card offers 1 point for every dollar spent. Spending $4,000 in the first 3 months of opening the card will get you $500 cash back, but if you redeem your points for travel rewards through the Chase site, you get an extra 25%. In addition, you will receive 2X points on travel, flights, taxis, etc and 2X points on worldwide dining. You can find many articles on Google which break down the best travel credit cards, but I religiously use the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and I would also recommend going to Experian.com to create a free account and their algorithms will show you the best cards that suit your credit and situation, then you can compare your options there and make the best choice for you. 5. Free $25 For Coming To My Site
Book a hotel through my Booking.com link and you’ll instantly get $25 off your total. BOOK NOW!

Tip 1: Try and a plan your trip out correctly. Many people pay extra for the ”free cancellation” option. Of course, if you cancel, this will allow you to get all your money back, but the initial cost is higher.

Tip 2: Try and book ahead of time. You normally get better rates this way, but you can also keep checking back as the rates change daily. One day you could be looking at a room for $180 and the next day it could be $145. It’s a game of trying to catch the lowest price. Make sure you also create a free account so you get last minute deals, too.

Tip 3: If you have any kind of business, make sure to hand out a business card or conduct business on your trip. You will be able to right most things off as business expenses if you conduct business on your trips.
